Trying to learn German!

Howdy everybody!
So, since I'm going to be spending around a week with Katleen and her family in Germany, I figured I should probably learn to speak at least some German. Besides that, I'm half German, so I want to do it for myself too. So I bought a 2 cd program to play on my computer to help me learn! It seems to be going pretty well. Right now, I can say ambulance (krankenwagen), hospital (krankenhaus), and men's and women's bathrooms (herrentoilete and damentoilete, respectively). So if I have to take an ambulance to the hospital and have to go to the bathroom while I'm there, I'm good! Just kidding! Anyway, I figure with about 30 minutes of practice on this program per day, I should know plenty by the time I get there! Well, I guess I should probably get back to studying, so I will post more later!

More preparations!

My birth certificate came in today!!! Now I can get my passport! I want to get my hair highlighted and cut before I leave. I want to keep it long, I just want a nice style, so if anyone has any ideas for me, I would greatly appreciate them!
